Apple Music’s Hi-Fi level teaser uploaded to the Music app

Apple has released a new “Music is about to change” teaser in the Music app, hinting at the next level “Hi-Fi” for Apple’s music streaming service.

“Get ready – the music is about to change forever”

Rumors have been circulating for some time now that Apple is working on a new “Hi-Fi” level of Apple Music, while some leaks also suggest that support for Spatial Audio is coming to the streaming service as well.

The shortage of chips has a positive effect on the iPhone 13 – it retains its value better than previous models

Leaving those rumors aside a bit, Apple has put together a new teaser in the Browse section of the Music app that simply reads: Prepare – the music is about to change forever. Given that the supposed launch of the Hi-Fi tier is slated for May 18, alongside the AirPods 3, it makes sense that this teaser is already live.

At present, information regarding the new level is extremely scarce. We don’t know if Apple will charge extra for the Hi-Fi level, what hardware it will be supported on, or if it will be a completely free upgrade for all Apple Music subscribers.

If I have to make a crazy guess at this point, I think the AirPods 3 will be the key to the whole experience, including the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. It may be the only audio hardware from Apple that supports 3D audio features as well as lossless audio streaming.

Since the rumored announcement date is the 18th of this month, which is literally within a day, we’ll have more details on that day. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to speculate on what Apple might have in store for all of us.
