Music production school based in New York and Berlin 343 laboratories announced the launch of its digital music education center 343 Workshop which will give budding talent direct access to some of the world’s best DJs and producers through live masterclasses, workshops, feedback sessions, networking events and even discounts on production tools. ‘Ableton, Arturia, SoundToys, etc.
The interactive learning experience will be led by artists in residence, multi-instrumentalists John Selway, DJ Great Dane, and underground techno veteran Abe Duque.
American EDM/DJ producer Great Dane, who teaches music production at 343 Labs, described the hub as “an amazing tool” that allows musicians to learn the “best techniques and practices”. Another artist who will share his expertise, German dance producer/DJ Innellea also said they enjoyed “sharing some of my tips and creative approach with the public”.
All lessons on 343 Studio will be streamed live or hosted via video conferencing technology, but will also be recorded so you can watch them later. Members will also be able to create user profiles to track their progress and interact with their peers and there will be additional access to performers and classes based on specific needs.
With how much online learning has picked up during the pandemic, 343 Workshop is how the music school evolves its educational framework. Co-founder of 343 Labs max wild explained that the idea for 343 Labs was born out of the need for online learners “to be part of a community and access training in real time.”
Launched by Wild and Barcelona DJ Nacho Isa in 2018, 343 Labs experienced rapid growth for its hands-on approach to music production. Now, with its new digital learning tool, the school is ready to further break down the physical and technological boundaries of a classroom to give students the best tips for making music.
